| Epsilon Delta Wins Greek Awards |
|
Epsilon Delta received awards for Outstanding New Member Education, Outstanding Academic Improvement, along with an award for Outstanding Website at this past year's Greek awards. Epsilon Delta also met all of the requirements for Cal Poly's Standards of Excellence Program and is in good standing with IFC.

| Cal Poly Beta Wins Award for Outstanding Leadership |
|
Congratulations to Stuart Watson on winning the Outstanding Senior Leadership award for all Betas in the Southwest region. The award was received at the 1st annual Southwest Keystone Leadership Conference with executive boards from 8 chapters present along with many general fraternity officers and alumni.

| Upcoming Winter Recruitment |

In light of the recent tragedy on campus, all fraternities on campus have canceled their formal recruitment events on campus.
We will be holding some informal recruitment events off campus in the later part of February. Please check back here soon for more details on how to become a brother of Beta Theta Pi.

| First in Grades! |
With a 2.98 All Chapter GPA for Fall Quarter, Beta Theta Pi leads all of the fraternities in grades for the past quarter.

| Housing Corporation and Alumni Association |
|
Having gotten our chapter back on track, we are now working hard on expanding our Alumni relations through the creation of an official Alumni Association. Also, we are trying take the steps necessary to create a permanent home for Beta Theta Pi at Cal Poly. Some alumni have already pledged their support for the creation of a non-profit corporation and the following capital raising efforts that will ensue. If you are at all interested in helping us create a permanent home of the Epsilon Delta Chapter at Cal Poly - please call and e-mail us with any ideas, suggestions, or guidence on these matters. We're looking forward to your involvement!

| Successful Alumni Weekend |
This past Alumni Weekend was very successful and we want to say thank you to all of you who attended. Those of you who couldn't attend, you were missed and we hope to see you at our next alumni event in the spring!

| RUSH BETA THETA PI, Fall Rush, 2008 |
The rush events for Fall Rush will begin Monday October 6th and finish on the 13th. We pride ourselves on providing one of the most complete college experiences out of all the social fraternities on campus and we want you to come see how for yourself. We'll be in SLO all summer, so get in touch before the school year starts again!

Tuesday, Oct. 7th - Open House and BBQ at BETA (7:00 to 9:00pm)
Wednesday, Oct. 8th - Beta Boxing at McCollum House (Starts at 8:00pm)
Thursday, Oct. 9th - Flag-Football, meet at BETA (starts at 7:00pm)
Friday, Oct. 10th - Free Dinner at In-N-Out, Meet at BETA (met at the house by 6:00pm)
Saturday, Oct. 11th - ATV/Quads at the dunes and BBQ (meet at BETA by 11:30am)
Sunday, Oct. 12th - Pool, darts, and food at Downtown Brew (5:00 to 7:00pm at DTB)

| Team Navy Wins 1st Place in Greek Week Lip Sync! |
|
Together, Beta Theta Pi, Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Chi, Lambda Theta Phi, and Alpha Gamma Omega, won 1st place in the Lip Sync competition, helping Beta to be on the winning Lip Sync team for the second year in a row. Footage of the performance can be seen at the following link:
