Cal Poly's formal Winter Rush Week begins FEBRUARY 8TH!!

TENTATIVE RUSH SCHEDULE

Monday, 2/8/10

Chumash kick off at 6:00pm. Come meet the brothers of Beta Theta Pi at the IFC kick off in Chumash auditorium.

Tuesday, 2/9/10

House BBQ at 7:00pm. The BETA house is having a cook out with burgers, dogs, and a slideshow prepared by the top chefs of Beta Theta Pi.

Wednesday, 2/10/10

Flag football at 8:00pm. Meet at campus market to play flag football at the sports fields with the men of Beta Theta Pi.

Thursday, 2/11/10

In-N-Out burger and N64 throwback night at 7:30pm. Come hang out with the brothers and enjoy some delicious In-N-Out burgers and old school N64 favorites. 

Friday, 2/12/10

Homemade Italian Feast at 5:00pm. Come enjoy an authentic family style Italian feast complete with homemade meat sauce, garlic bread, and casaer salad.

Saturday, 2/13/10

Happy Gilmore Driving Range Competition at 1:00pm. Come see if you can send the ball to its home. The winner of the long drive competition will recieve a prize. Wear a collared shirt if you have one. Golf clubs will be provided, but if you have your own feel free to bring them.

Sunday 2/14/10

Wings and Pool at Downtown Brew at 3:00pm. Enjoy some wings and pool at down town brew with the brothers.

Monday 2/15/10

Smoker at 8:00pm. Invite only, formal attire required.
Tuesday 2/16/10

Bid Day, at 6:00pm.


All events will begin at 1340 Kentucky st. unless otherwise specified. All events are free and anyone is welcome to attend.

In light of the recent tragedy on campus, all fraternities on campus have canceled their formal recruitment events on campus. 

We will be holding some informal recruitment events off campus in the later part of February.  Please check back here soon for more details on how to become a brother of Beta Theta Pi. 

The rush events for Fall Rush will begin Monday October 6th and finish on the 13th.  We pride ourselves on providing one of the most complete college experiences out of all the social fraternities on campus and we want you to come see how for yourself.  We'll be in SLO all summer, so get in touch before the school year starts again!

We can help give rides to the house, directions, or provide any other kind of information you might want concerning our fraternity.  Below is a list of last quarter's events and should give you some idea of what to expect for the fall.

Tuesday, Sep. 22nd - School Begins

Monday, Oct. 6th - All Fraternity Kick-Off BBQ (U.U. at 6:00pm)

Tuesday, Oct. 7th - Open House and BBQ at BETA (7:00 to 9:00pm)

Wednesday, Oct. 8th - Beta Boxing at McCollum House (Starts at 8:00pm)

Thursday, Oct. 9th - Flag-Football, meet at BETA (starts at 7:00pm)

Friday, Oct. 10th - Free Dinner at In-N-Out, Meet at BETA (met at the house by 6:00pm)

Saturday, Oct. 11th - ATV/Quads at the dunes and BBQ (meet at Beta by 11:30am)

Sunday, Oct. 12th - Pool, darts, and food at Downtown Brew (5:00 to 7:00pm at DTB)

Here is our chapter's schedule of events for the upcoming rush.  All events are open to the public, unless listed as "Invite Only." Regardless of the weather, come meet us at the following times - almost all activities can be taken indoors (we have plenty of garages and undercover space) or alternate activities have been planned. 

• Wednesday, January 30th - All Greek BBQ in the U.U. Come meet us at our booth and get some free food! The event begins at 5:00pm.
• Thursday, January 31st - Poker Night and HOOKAH from 6:00 to 8:00pm.  Come down to the Beta house and play cards with some of the best.  There's no buy in, but there'll be gift cards for the winners in this tournament style event!
• Friday, February 1st - BETA BOXING! Come watch the brothers of Beta Theta Pi duke it out! As many as 6 fights! The battle will take place from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the House.
• Saturday, February 2nd - Open House Tri-Tip BBQ.  Come watch AMERICAN PIE's BETA HOUSE at the BETA HOUSE!! Come let our gourmet chefs grill for you and get a formal tour of our chapter house. 12:00 to 3:00pm.
• Sunday, February 3rd - FLAG FOOTBALL before the Superbowl from 12:00 to 2:00pm, meet at the house.
• Monday, February 4th - SMOKER, formal dress, by INVITE ONLY.
